ipaq 1940 total loss

Hi Guys!

Have just joined so am a newbie still and am hoping one of you can help me out here.

Was trying to find out how to download music from pda to mobile phone when came across a BIOS update for my ipaq 1940. downloaded it to pc and was trying to upload it to pda but it would get to 50% and then i would get a 260 update error (no idea what this it). followed instruction to do a hard reset, and now I have nothing at all. Just the initial white screen with HP invent and 1.07 (obviously version) on it. I cannot get anything to work, my pc now says it is an unrecognized piece of hardware and I cannot even get it to charge (no lights at all). I have trawled HP's site looking for clues, but nothing. I hope one of you can point me in the right direction, otherwise I have a pda that is less than a year old and useless.

Have you tried running the ROM update again? Also, did you ensure the ROM update you tried was actually for your iPAQ and not for a different region or anything like that?
