Default Can't create partnership

I have a Loox 420 which I synchronize regularly with my PC via the docking cradle. I now want to synchronize with my laptop as well. (Windows XP and ActiveSync 3.8) The 2 machines recognize each other via a bluetooth connection but when I get to ActiveSync it can't find the Loox. I must have missed something somewhere in the configuration, but what. I reckon I've tried everything but obviously I haven't. Can anybody help, please?

You need to sync via a cradle/cable connection for the first time to create the partnership. From then on you can use Bluetooth.

Thanks Charlie. I thought it must be something so simple that I'd never think of it myself!

Well, it seems it's not so simple! I created the partnership OK via the cradle. It synchronized fine. Now that I want to use the bluetooth connection Activesync can't find the Loox. Just like before. The Laptop and the Loox recognize each other, show that they are connected but when I open up Activesync it searches and searches then tells me it can't find a machine to sync with. What am I missing now?

There are a lot of Bluetooth guides over @ http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=449 which should help you finalise the connection.
