Video Walkman

I have a H5550 which I intend to use as a video walkman. I have managed to encode using Windows Media Encoder, but only the files it supports. Three questions:

1. Can I encode DivX for use on PDA?

2. I'm buying a 512Mb SD card. Will the data rate the PDA reads from the SD card at be fast enough to show video?

Any advice?
