Background Image on Today Screen is Faded

Hello All,

New to the forum, new to PDA's !

I have a IPAQ3715.
When I set my own .jpg image as the background image for the "Today" screen then it appears faded.
Is this normal functionality ?

Welcome to our forums.
I think it gets a bit transparent so that you can clearly see text etc over it.

I once came across a setting which allowed you to vary the transparency of the picture but have never been able to find it again!

You can modify the transparency of custom backgrounds using Theme Generator.

if you open the image via
start, programs, images or pictures you can set as background and select the transparency

I have the same problem when trying to set my own picture as a background on my hx4700

I opened the image through Start/Programs/HP Image Zone and went through all the options there - but still cannot find the transparency setting

Also does anyone know if there are any free downloadable animated "screensavers" or something like that???

Any ideas would be much appreciated
