Angry Connecting to the internet using an IPAQ 5550 and bluetooth

Please help!

I have recently purchased an Ipaq 5550, and also have a bluetooth phone. I know how to link the phone and Ipaq together (read the HP guides etc).

My question is can you use your mobile to dial up, say, your normal Freeserve connection on the normal number (the one you use for your home computer) and then use the same username and password as on your home computer or is it more complicated than that?

Thanks in advance for anybody who can help. If a specialist ISP provider is required can somebody advise as to who is best?

Cheers

Cooper you can use it to dialup you freeserve account all you need is your user details, I highly recommend GPRS it is faster than WAP and its always connected you pay for what you download with most ISP.

I have just ordered an HP 5550 with the expansion jacket, card,Ietc with a view to insert my GPRS activated sim card to gain best connectivity - or so I am told. I am a complete novice with this type of system - I just need to access client websites before I meet with them (perhaps whilst in the street outside their building)and send and receive emails throughout the day. I thought I had got this right - but now colleagues are saying all I needed was to upgrade my mobile to bluetooth and forget the xpension jacket etc. Which is best? Any ideas?

I personally use by Bluetooth phone to connect to the internet via my PDA, less bulky than expansion jackets.

I have a Panasonic X70 and although I can pair it with my Ipaq 5550, I can't get my GPRS to connect.
I have followed the instructions to the letter, to no avail.
Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Oh, and I am using Orange Data

Thanks

Hmm have you entered the correct dial string, am sure it can change from phone to phone like i dial *99# on my t610 but it does change.
