Help me please!!!

I have had a IPAQ 3715 (Windows mobile 2003SE) for a while now and really really want to change the Today screen (the boring Start screen. Is this possible? I have read that it is else where, and even on the microsoft help site, but I just cannot do it!!!!!

I have tried selecting a picture (jpeg) from the Today menu in settings, but it just will not display on the today screen.

Somebody please help.
