accessing serial port

I wish to read RS232 data coming from my custom hardware (for a school project) into an IPAQ. I was proposing the use of a DAQ card on an additional extension sleeve for the IPAQ.

Is there any other way I can interface ? I know that Bluetooth can be used in a serial port config., but I need a wired connection.

Any help would be great.

I've had a look around but not been able to find much on RS232 going to IPAQ, but did find this on a website, perhaps it will help!
