VPN Dell X30

I bought the Dell X30 with an idea that i can connect to work via vpn should i need to when out and about.

The "in built" client for some reason i can not get connected (to a cisco VPN) (either requests a certificate or key, which we dont use) and so i downloaded movianVPN, but this insists on disabling the dell wlan radio

and i cant even get the settings in to amend it (resulting in hard reset to get the dell wlan back!)

has anyone else succeeded in connecting?
