Default active sync and outlook express

Just got my first pda, a toshiba E740,

I've got it connected to my desktop no problems, and try the active sync, but it comes up with a problem with syncing the inbox, just says that 'items of one or more information types can not be synchronized, disconnect and re-connect your devise'

Do that and it does exactly the same, it will synchronize everything else i want it to, updates the pda's clock and so on, just wont sync the inbox files,

I'm using outlook express on my desktop (running XP pro) is that my problem? i.e i need to use the full outlook rather than express to sync my e-mails with the pda?

or am i just doing something stupid with this being my first pda,

i bought it mainly to be used for GPS sat nav routing, but thought i may as well see what else it can do, and as i have a wifi connection at home i can get on the net with it.. easier than starting the desktop up when i just want to check e-mails,
but when i get some e-mails on the pda, i want to be able to put them over to the desktop easily.

You need to use Microsoft Outlook not Outlook Express, you can get Outlook on most companion CD's or with Microsoft Office. Outlook is a more advanced email client that can do your e-mail, calander, contacts etc.

Cheers for that,

Time to get used to outlook then, always used express as it seemed easier for what we wanted to do... send and recieve e-mails and read newsgroups, never have anyone in the contacts things or owt like that.

Seems like my excuses for keeping express on this computer have just ran out.
