Question using to surf

I'd like to get an iPAQ 2210, with tom tom nav software. Would I need to buy a compatable phone to use it for email and the internet, and is it expensive to use? And what else is a PDA useful for?
One more thing, how reliable are they? I read somewhere, they're prone to crashing, Is that common, and more important, easy to fix.

Hampshirebabe,

The easiest way to connect you phone for the internet and cable is via bluetooth, so all you would need is a mobile that has bluetooth. The 2210 is very reliable, i have one myself and although it does crash now and then, it is very easy to fix (soft reset takes about 20seconds!). I am currently doing a review on the 2210 which should be on our website within the next few days. if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me or post a new thread in the forum.
