Question Medion Multimedia Pocket PC repairs

My son accidently sat on his Medion Multimedia Pocket PC, with GPS Navigation System MDPPC250, damaging the display.

I e-mailed hotline@median.co.uk on 8th October asking for their nearest service centre but have had no reply.

So I was wondering if anyone has any idea where I could take/send it to get a replacement screen fitted?

Thanks.

Welcome to our forums.
Have you tried sending the email to hotline@medion.co.uk instead? Or even tried calling their support number? 0870 727 0370.

I don't know anywhere else that would repair it for you.

Thank you for the welcome Charlie.

It was mailto:hotline@medion.co.uk I mailed but no luck. I'll try the number you gave to see if I have any more success.

Thank you.

I eventually managed to get them to respond....

We can do Out of Warranty repair work on your PDA for a non-returnable charge of £55.53 (£25.53 for carriage and £30.00 for labour) plus the cost of any parts. The basic process is described below;

* We book the equipment into our workshop.

* Customer packages the equipment with a covering letter that

confirms this is Out of Warranty work.

* The package is collected by courier.

* Workshop assess the equipment and prepare a written quote

for the full job. (Parts plus £55.53).

* Customer makes payment by cheque or gives credit card info

via hotline (0870 727 0370).

* On receipt of payment, parts are ordered and fitted.

* Once testing is complete, the equipment is shipped back to

the customer by courier.

If you want to pursue this, please contact us again so we can book the equipment into the workshop and give you details on how to dispatch it to us.

So it looks like the total cost could be around £100 or so. Is it worth it?

I think I'll just a new PDA and use the existing maps.
