I just purchased a IPAQ 2210. Is there supposed to be a long hole at the top of the handheld??

I think you mean the Compactflash slot. You should have had a plastic "blanking plate" covering the hole. If not buy a compact flash card.

Thanks. I phoned www.totalpda.co.uk and it seems that when they set it up for me they didn't send me the 'blanking plate' as you call it. they're sending me a replacement.
