Default Ipaq H2210 - Problems with handset resetting itself!!..

Hi all, recently bought an IPaq 2210, and i am having some problems with it. It feels the need to reset itself for no apparent reason. This happens mostly when i am using the sat nav program Navman GPS 4400, although it has done it when i havent used it. The handset fails to switch on sometimes, which means i then have to take the battery out and it wipes the memory. Very frustrating problem! Anyone have any suggestions as to what it might be?? It would be appreciated! Mark

I would conclude that either battery, battery contact points or pwer circuit in handheld itself is at fault.
Whichever of the 3 above it will most likely need a return to HP for attention.

Bernielad, when the PDA hangs have you tried doing a soft reset? As you may find the reason it is hanging is there is 2 much data in the memory.

Thanks for your info chaps seems to have done the job fine, resetting the thing. Is that not really an irregular thing then, a handset refusing to switch on??

Default keeping memory use to a min

Bernielad,
One of the main reasons for having too much data in memory is that nobody realises when you press the X in the top right corner to close a program all it does is minimize it. So three days worth of opening programs and you have allot of data being held open.
Simple to resolve - in any large program esp. GPS programs and the media player bring up the keyboard and press "CTRL + Q" this will actually close the program and stop you having to reset every so often - hope this helps - www.clove.co.uk gave me this info.
