ipaq 5550..tomtom2 problem

can you help .i used to have an ipaq 3760 with expansion jacket ,now have a 5550 with a sd.on the 3760 i could turn the ipaq of with tom tom running ,turn back on and the tomtom would find the position i was now at,on the 5550 when i turn the machine back on the progamme has froze and i have to shut and open the progamme again

Piperdog have you updated the tom tom software on your PDA, remember your PDA is running a different operating system than you old PDA. I would recommend that you check out the updates via http://www.totalpda.co.uk/fixes.aspx

i think so.ive loaded the disc and then the 224 upgrade.is there more??

thanks..done that that but still freezes on stat up .tomtom recommend

Ideally the navigator 2 software is installed on the internal memory and the maps to internal/external memory. Many customers are having problems with 'some' SD cards made in China but not SD cards made in Japan (freezing). What you can try first is to flash format your SD card to FAT 32 (warning: this erases all SD card data) and then reload the maps to it and see if the same problem exists. If the same problem exists then delete the maps and load a very small map to internal memory of the PDA only. If this works then your flash card is suspect.
