"Missing" files on my Dell X50

"Missing" files on my Dell X50

Despite dowmloading ebook files onto by pda, my installations of MS reader and E reader now don't seem to know they're there. IE I have an Empty "bookshelf" etc. Trying to open the files themselvesfrom file manager says no application associated with this file...

How do I solve this? I can't even find files now that I've read in the pda before!!!
