Default tom tom ipaq 3850

Hello everyone,
i have an ipaq 3850 with a generic gps card in the slot of an adapter. GPS works fine.
I have tried installing tomtom2 and everything goes ok until the maps - i have a 128MB SD card installed and it appears to copy the maps over ok there is a 98MB file on the card. It comes up and says installing for a brief time then goes.

Run tomtom and it says cannot find data and asks me to reinstall? Which i have tried in vain?

Is this a problem with the CF card? I have never formatted it or anything?

Help please!

There error does normally mean that it cannot find the maps (location of data error) can you view the files through file explorer on the PDA or did you load via a card reader?

Stevie,
I installed it via the usb cable - the file appears to be there, i have also tried installed it onto a cf card i have but no joy. I think i might just wait for tomtom3.
