SD Storage Card

I have inserted a SD Card into my xda2i a few weeks ago, and it worked a treat since then I can not see it I have checked it out on my PC and it works fine but Just cannot access it anymore!!! Any ideas also would I be able to load tom tom software onto the Sd card if I get it working or do I need a MMC card Cheers
