Unhappy HP 5550 + magicstor 2.2gb CF II

Can anyone tell me if this new CFII 2.2gb magicstor is compatible with my HP5550 ipaq with OS PC 2003 and if so do I need any drivers and where I can obtain them.

I'm currently using an Emtac GPS Jacket which takes this type of CFII and the ipaq is supposed to be compatable. Please somebody shead some light on this...

Hi Buddy,

I have used one of those drives with my IPAQ and it's jacket and it does work with no drivers needed but please note it is much slower than memory card so you have to be patient

Hi ErnieS

The Problem I have is that the drive is not been recognised,, What type of jacket r u using? What OS do you have ? I assume you r using the HP 5550/5555 ?

When I place the card into my GPS Jacket and switch on IPAQ I get message New Card Recognised and it requests driver name I just hit return as their isn't one it seems to accept but I cannot detect card. It also appears to stop my GPS jacket from working.

I will Try card on mates 5450 to rule out faulty Card....
