Question stop TT BT power down?

Hi,

Is there a way to configure the BT GPS for tomtom 5 so it doesn't power down if tomtom is not asking it for a signal. I want to leave the receiver in the car on charge, switched on because the application I need the gps for means I need extremely rapid TTFF times to get underway ASAP. Thanks

Nearly all BT receivers do this by default to save battery, and cannot be changed.

You should be able to get a fix fairly quickly, for me it's almost instant on my TT BT mk2. Longest I've had to wait on restart in the vehicle is 1 minute.

I certainly wouldn't leave the receiver on charge in an unattended car. That's how many loose theirs, as their really only 2 reasons for using cig chargers and leaving them plugged in. Mobile phones, or GPS kit - either way Mr Thief is happy.
