Restrict WIFI to one specified SSID

Is it possible to configure my XDA2i to connect to one SSID only and ignore all other networks? I have an application which accesses the internet via WIFI and then GPRS if no WIFI is available. The problem is that if my SSID is not detected and the device finds another protected network (for which I don't have the key) it doesn't go out on GPRS even though it cannot access the net via the protected connection.

Please help before all my hair disappears! Thanks.
