Default Bluetooth hands free with pda

OK heres the thing

I have a Dell Axim X51v running MWM V5 and a Nokia 6822 and can pair them no problem.

I was thinking is it possible to use the Axim as a hands free unit? for use in the car and my office, as its in a basement and I can't get a signal on the phone at my desk. has anyone done this? if so how and howe good is it?

Or as usual am I expecting it to do too much?

Bluetooth has a very limited range, and is really affected by walls etc.

If a higher powered mobile signal can't reach you, you've no chance of a BT signal (which isquite weak) reaching you.

I know this, I used to have a Nokia BT earpiece and that worked a treat when I left the phone on the floor above (btw I work form home) until the dog ate the earpiece. Also I found wearing the thing uncomfortable hence why I want to use the Axim if possible.

Im pretty sure something like this wouldnt be possible with a PDA I think its something to with the bluetooth audio gateway on the PDA being a bit different from what you get on a phone. Not a 100% on that though I havent looked into it in a while.

A possible solution would be to sell the dog and buy another headset with the proceeds.
