Default New to PDA and TomTom GPS help please

I bought a IPAQ 2210 from www.totalpda.co.uk as a complete kit with tomtom 3 bluetooth (wireless) the problem I'm having is that when in use I keep getting this popup message..."unable to connect. you have no modem entries created, and no network card present". Any way I can stop this?

Is Tom Tom program running in the back ground? Do you ever exit the application or do you just close at the top right?
