Default Newbie Question: Which PDA Can Do This For Me?

Ive never used a hand held type of device before and would like to know whether or not I should consider purchasing one (and which one) taking into consideration what I need it to do exactly.

I need it for 1 reason only: I am a driving instructor who needs to be able to take/make notes and memos while giving my students their lessons in the car. Therefore, i need to be able to write/scribble notes with the stylus very quickly in the car regarding student progress during that lesson among other info such as jotting down re-scheduling info quickly and misc. account info for that student...again i need to be able to scribble this info into the pda very quickly while talking to the student in-car. I dont have the time to use the graffitti stuff where you have to write 1 character at a time..i need to be able to write naturally and fast in script or print onto screen and print it out "as is" later on from my desktop.

More specifically, heres how id like to be able to organize this info:

Any info I jot/scribble into the pda needs to be able to be printed later on from my pc after i sync. I need to understand if its possible to print it out just as i wrote it OR if i need to transcribe it into text first??...this is what confuses me..i guess im looking for an electronic writing pad in some respects. but then i need those notes im writing to be able to be put into catagories such as a file for each student broken down into Progress Notes/Account Notes/Schdule Notes.

Then later on my desktop i need to be able to print out a single sheet of paper for each student which would show the Contact Info, Account Notes, Schedule Notes, and Progress Notes associated with that particular student, either for a particular date or an enitre history of notes taken.

Does any know if this is truly possible and if so, which PDA or PDA type features i would need to look for?

Thanks so much for any advice!
Dave

Dave from looking at this I would probably recommend a PALM OS PDA, this allows you to make notes in your own handwriting on the screen. As for converting it then getting used to the graffiti is prob the best bet. Im unaware of any other good note/writing software. Try this site you might find something - www.handango.com
Have a look at this Sony Clie, a good budget PDA - http://www.totalpda.co.uk/Sony-Clie-PEG-TJ25.aspx
