:: Broken backlight ::

Hello all,

like a muppet I dropped my Compaq iPaq 3870 and now the backlight doesn't work. I went on the technical support pages at Compaq/HP and they sent me a very nice email saying that I should try resetting my device!!! (I know it's probably not possible, but I'm sure the email had a patronising American accent!)

So, does anyone know if it's possible to get this repaired, or even if it's worth it?

If it's going to be too expensive, where can I buy decent refurbished / 2nd hand PDAs from?

There are a few places on the net that might repair your PDA, have a search on google, it may cost as much as getting a new PDA.
