What Software?

I've been informed that I can't transfer the files I created in works spreadsheet/database to my iPAQ and display them in excel. The only way at present is save under File Format>Text & Tabs. This is not suitable. Is there software available that I could create spreadsheets/databases in, that my iPAQ would be able to display properly?

Only supports *cbd file format and MS Access. None of which I have. If you could take another read through it to see another way I'd be grateful.
