Gernopt | There are a couple of things that need to happen on the Vodafone side of your connection before it will work. Mainly that you need to have the correct APN on your SIM Account and that will be dependant on if you are contract or Payt. Once that is active, and that can take up to 24 hours you will need to get your phone up to date on the network by doing a manual roam. Try this for the settings to get on the net: GPRS connection profile Click Start, Click Settings. Click Connections tab, Click Connections, Click Add a new Modem connection, Click New At Enter a name for the connection enter a new name i.e. Vodafone GPRS At Select a modem click on the down arrow and select Cellular Line (GPRS), Click Next, At Access point name enter for Contract: wap.vodafone.co.uk for PayT: pp.vodafone.co.uk Click Next At User name enter wap, At Password enter wap, Click Advanced Click the circle next to Use specific IP address and enter 212.183.137.012 Click OK, Click Finish If this doesn’t work go to http://www.vodafone.co.uk at the top of the page you will see Contact Us and click the Contact Us by e-mail link. Outline your problem, including you mobile number and include FIT135 in the body of the email and it will be routed to the right department, or you could try 191 off your handset |
