iPAQ 3970 switching itself on problem

Hi

I have an iPAQ 3970, which seems to switch itself on when ever it wants to. Unfortunately this has meant that the battery can run totally flat, meaning I have to reconfigure everything.

I schedule regular back ups so loss of data isn't an issue, but it's just a pain in the neck having to go through the set up process again and again .....

What is causing the m/c to switch on and is there anything I can do about it?
