Default Mio 338 and infrared

Hi newby here.

Two questions please.
1 .I have a mio 338 pocket pc. How do i get a infra red beam off my desktop p.c. to allow me to connect it to the internet(I have a cradle for file transfers, so it is only to allow internet access)
Is it some kind of usb device,? and are all i/r/ devices compatable with all pocket pc,s ?

2, Does anyone know any good free site , to download ebooks , in microsoft e, reader formatt ?

Many thanks

Dave

I'm not quite sure that I understand your post, do you have Infrared on your desktop PC?

No Charlie, I dont believe i do
I have seen devices on a usb cord (belkin at Argos) that plugs in to your pc .
They all say it makes file transfers easy etc, but will it allow me to get on the net, off my desktop pcs connection.

Thanks

dave
