Default How to remove PerSaveBackup?

I am trying to view the contents of my SD card via the File Explorer but all that is shown is a directory called 'PerSaveBackup' containing a bunch of backup files. I am not able to delete this folder (it appears no matter which card I use) and I have tried enabling/disabling the Permanent Save, Soft/Hard Bouncing etc

Does anyone know how to remove this folder?

NOTE: I am not really interested in using any backup features as I only intend to use the PDA as an in-car Satnav (with TomTom Navigator 5) so am happy to disable them completely

Thanks in advance!
(I have an O2 XDAII)

Default

Try:-

i) Open 'Permanent Save' by tapping Start>Settings>System>Permanent Save
ii) Uncheck all 4 boxes in 'Permanent Save'.
iii) Open File Explorer.
iv) Go to 'My Device\Storage\
v) Locate the folder 'PerSaveBackup' and delete the entire folder (you'll get some unable to delete folder messages).
vi) Do a Soft-reset
vii) Go back and delete the folder 'PerSaveBackup'.

Or try formatting the SD Card on a card reader.
