HP2210 and loss of TomTom3- HELP!!!!!

I have an HP2210 which I use with a TomTom3. This works nicely however, when I leave the unit off for a number of weeks, it starts with my TomTom programme missing along with outher third party I have installed. The last time I had to reload all the programmes. What is happening here???
Is the HP2210 staying on hence loosing memory?? HELP!!!!!!!!!

I just came back from France where I used my 2210 and TomTom. For some crazy reason on day 2 I decided to soft reset my 2210 and lost TomTom. Maybe yoiur battery is running flat during this time and then when you repower it its doing the same as mine did. i have decided now to use the backup option to try and avoid getting caught out again.
Hope that helps but I may be way off.
