Default Turning HP 2210 on and off

I am having problems turning my new HP2210 on and off. When I press the on button, except for the backlight. I then press the on button again and sometimes it turns off completely or sometimes the backlight comes on. It is just a case of trial and error. I have the same problem when turning off.

I have tried tapping the screen with the stylus after pressing the on button but does not make a difference.

What is the exact procedure for turning the PDA on and off ?

Just out of interest, how many people purchased a HP 2210 and Tomtom 3 from P C World at £299. Appeared to be a very good deal and I think they sold out rather quickly.

When you briefly press the power button the unit should turn on and off.
When the unit is on and you press and hold the power button the backlight will turn on and off.

It needs a quick press and release to turn it on and off, if you hold it down then it only part turns on/off, like it's going into or out of standby

Just remember you cant physically turn a PDA off, they go into hibernation mode. This is why if you leave your PDA for a few days the battery will die and you will loose all your data. Have a look on the FAQ a lot of useful information regarding PDA’s.
