Dying for a wired internet access PDA, help? Hello,
I'm not into all this wireless stuff because I'm not convinced the health risks are inexistent. I also suspect that the lower a CPU's clock frequency is, the less aggressively the resulting electromagnetic fields interfere with the normal human electromagnetic field. There, that should be enough for explanation.
So, I'm looking for a solution like this: -no wireless connections "background-radiating" like WLAN, Bluetooth, GSM, 3G etc.
Though I really don't know if e.g. Bluetooth-supported devices send any Bluetooth signals when not connected or when the Bluetooth feature has been switched off within the software. -a processor as slow as possible
I'm into PDAs because of communication and sending and receiving e-mails doesn't require a lot of power. -a modem or an Ethernet adapter that goes with the PDA
Is it really so that if you've got a CF card that supports e.g. Windows CE 2.0 and your PDA has it, you will in practically all cases be able to surf the web once you connect the PDA to e.g. an ADSL modem? What kind of issues are there?
I'd really appreciate any help. I've had a past of being a computer addict and I feel that a PDA would also be ideal for me in the sense that it doesn't thrill by its technical features, making it psychologically easier to concentrate on the content I'm looking at. |
