Default Activesync Issues!

Hi,

I have bought a second PDA - a Mio P350, and although my computer (Activesync 4.5.0) 'recognises' my first PDA (an XDA Exec) and Syncs without a problem, I cannot get it to recognise the Mio.

I have tried USB2.0 and the older (USB 1.1?) sockets, but no luck. I have also tried to connect to my laptop (which also works with the XDA Exec) and has Activesync 4.1.0, but, again, no luck.

I have tried the various options of re-booting PC / Laptop and soft-resetting the Mio, whilst connected/unconnected together, but again to no avail...

I am desperate to download some CAB programs from my PC, but just can't get the connection to work, even though the cable seems to work well.

ANY advice would be greatly appreciated!

Kindest regards,

Markov

Activesync won't work with two separate Devices. e.g. I have my Mio P350 all set up fine. I then sync with my sons Moi P350 and it's recognised. I try to sync mine again and it won't recognise it.

To install the CAB files onto your Mio P350, you will have to start Activesync, with nothing connected, go to File - Delete Mobile Device. After this you should be able to sync OK. Only problem, you will have to go through the same proceedure to get your XDA Exec recognised again.

Hi Border Collie,

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, even deleting the XDA didn't get the Mio recognised. I did manage to re-partnership the XDA, however!
