Default Which GPS has most current maps?

I am about to take the plunge and buy an in-car GPS system for navigation, but as I travel about the Midlands I am concerned that the maps may not be up to date, or updated very often.

What map system do you use and does it have the following roads:
1. A6 bypasses between Bedford and Leicester. There are bypasses at Clapham, High Ferrers, Rothwell/Desborough and Great Glen. These make a big difference to the route you would take in this area.
2. M6 Toll Road. The Birmingham Northern Relief Road, due to open in January. Again, will make a big difference to journeys up the M6.
3. New Birmingham Airport approach road.

I'm not going to fork out £500+ is none of my local roads are in the maps!

Help greatfully received. As you might expect, Dixons are of no help with this.

Neil

I personally find that Navman's maps are slightly more up to date than Tomtom. For most of Scotland, their street database is excellent, especially in rural areas!
