Default Navman 4400

Hi,
I recently got a Navman 4400 and a PDA but I understand that I can use thidr party GPS compliant mapping software with it. Can anyone point me in the right direction as I haven't got a clue!
I believe that it can also be used with marine charts.
All or any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Terry.

Terry I have over the christmas holiday taken a group of offroaders laning in the derbyshire peak district using memory map with 4400 and the combination worked perfectly, i used navman software to find the meeting place in the centre of chesterfield then loaded up mem map and followed it ( although I did not use follow route as I had to make some diversions due to condition of some lanes )finishing nicely at a pub where we could all eat
