Default Ipaq 3870 with Navman 3450 Jacket.

Have been using this combination reasonably sucessfully all over Europe does any one have any answers to these questions please.?
1. What is best method of charging whislt on road I have bought two different cigar lighter chargers and the plug connections at the Ipaq have both become unrelaibly loose causing charging to be intermitent.
2. When travelling from Norwich to Newcastle in UK the unit kept pointing me south obviously the wrong way then it got itself into a loop sending me up and down the same moterway. Reset the unit but it still could not get me going in the correct direction... is there a limit on how far the unit can work out the route?.
3. Had a Vectra hire car the other day in Germany GPS lock took ages 40 mins plus..... also couldnt see a cigar lighter so eventually ran out of battery! Does the Vectra have shielded screen and do thay have cigar lighters

Must say that apart from these annoying attributes the unit has been a good buy saving me a lot of time and some! frustration.
