Default Tomtom 2 gps

Hi, I'am awaiting on arrival of my ipaq 3850 and tomtom navigator 2 gps software. Can it be powered without the car power supply and be used for walking around?

Thanks

Wendy

Wendy,

The Ipaq setup with a cabled GPS receiver can give you upto 4 hours walking time from a full charge. With a bluetooth receiver it will also depend on the battery in the bluetooth receiver. It is possible to get an external plug in battery for Ipaq's, but this would be something else to carry. I have seen an external CF jacket which also holds a battery.

If you surf the net on PDA sites you will see a number of external power supply options
