Hi Stuart.

Have you tried the overlay settings in Checkpoint? Select the synchroized folder that contains the speed camera files. Highlite one of them and then tap properties. Tap the First warning tab and you will see at the bottom of that screen "Sound to play as first warning" tap the little box with the three dots in and then navigate to the file you want to play when you get a speed camera warning.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

You will need the sound files, you will get them here

http://checkpoint.oabsoftware.nl/

These need to be downloaded and unzipped, then copy these to your PDA and set up the warnings from the properties tab.

Have fun

It's a pity that the sound files for the checkpoint only go down to 50.

i've had a go at producing my own for 30 & 40 But can't seem to get them to sound loud enough.

Does any one know any other sites with sound files.

i used http://elvis.naturalvoices.com/demos/ to make my own sounds eg, "fixed camera ahead, 30 zone" or somthing silly like that. I found checkpoint to be a bit disapointing, might of been the way i had it setup though.

Good site,

i've created a full set of alerts for both the Charles and Audrey voices.

I've had to increase the volume on them so i'll see how they hold up in practice.

Could you post your sound files? It'd be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Gaz

I have used the voice files found on the checkpoint homepage and they work fine for me....just copy them to the Program Files\Checkpoint\ folder on your PDA.
