Navam PIN 570 free speed camera database ???

Hi
I own one of the above and the site I bought it from promised a free download of safety camera sites

I am struggling to find the info on the site to enable me to download, anyone else had this trouble ? or can help ?

Welcome to our forums.
The PIN570 isn't the easiest system to install speed cams onto however there are a few threads about doing it in the Forum of the pocketgpsworld site.

To get access to the PocketGPSWorld database you pay a subscription of £2 per month or £19 per year.

You can then download the database suitable for your Pin570 which is a zip folder.

Unzip the folder and you'll see 23 bitmap files and 23 .asc files.

You can drag and drop or copy/paste the bitmap files to your GB-map folder on the SD Card.

Then you right click on an asc icon, one at a time, and choose Open with - Notepad.

Delete the top line ;Longitude,Latitude,Name.

Save a$ for example Gatso 30 or whatever Camera Type/Speed you are dealing with.

When you've finished all 23 files, you use your Navman Smart ST program and by pointing to where you have saved the files, install them onto your PDA.

It's actually easier done, than said.
