Default Switch the Tibo off

Hi, I may be missing something obvious but can you switch the Tibo off? I have charged the unit up a couple of times via the USB port but when I have come to have a play to learn how to use it it tells me it needs charging up again.

Is there a way to switch it off and conserve the power because I intend going away for a weekend and to use the unit whilst I am away.

Thanks

Charge from the DC charger that was supplied and see if you get the same result, charging from USB can be extremely slow.

I didn't get a DC charger with it, just a USB and cigar lighter one.

I do manage a full charge - eventually - via the USB but by next day it is flat again. To use it this way would mean charging overnight etc and then going out within 12 hrs. I was wondering if the charge can be held (like a mobile phone) until I am ready to use it eg whilst I am away from home for a weekend etc.

Hi there - I had a similar problem caused by pressing the on/off button while still in the navigation mode or by pressing it briefly. I now exit all programmes and press the on/off button for a couple of seconds. Then I press the screen just to make sure its off. (It beeps if still on). Since I have been doing this I have had no trouble with the battery discharging. Hope it works for you.
