Question tomtom go 300

Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I am going to France next month. What is the best/cheapest way of purchasing French road maps, is it best to get the Erupoean CD as advertised on the TomTom site, or a single map of France? If I purchase the Cd version can I download onto my existing UK map SD [512mb] or do they have to sit on a different SD? If they can go on my existing UK maps, once across the Channel does it automatically pick up where I am? Please treat me like a novice, cos that is wot I am! Cheers

are you only ever going to use it in France? if so then buy the France SD card, if you might travel a bit buy the CD set and more SD cards.

Depending on the size of the SD card, there is no reason why you can't have a couple of different maps on the same SD card. The GB map is about 111mb so if you had a 512mb card, you could easily fit three different maps and maybe even four.

The only thing you would need to do is do into your preferences in tt and change maps when you reach the border.
