US Maps for UK Tomtom Go300

I hope someone out there can help on this one and provide a definitive answer. I am looking for a map or maps for my go 300 which will cover Florida. Now this should be a fairly simple task but it would seem impossible to get an answer from TT regarding which one is best. They offer a US map on SD card and also city maps. I cannot find out if the US Map is down to street level or not. Has anyone out there bought/used there TT in the USA and if so which maps did they use and were they any good. I dont mind spending the money but i dont want to buy the wrong thing and i am now on my 3rd email to TT who dont appear to read them properly!! I cannot get an answer.

I am also looking for a map of US South East region (incl. Florida) for my old TT 3, which I use with my Typhoon PDA (which is exactly like Mitac Mio 168). I have contacted TT and their reply have not been the right one. I have seen a downloadable map, Version 6.6, on TT's website for Euro 59.00 - is this compatible with my PDA running Mobile Widows 2003 software?

I also hope someone can help point me in the right direction.

TomTom 3 is no longer supported for maps.

The maps sold by TT will only work on versions 5 & 6.
