 How to install map onto a Palm Life Drive via a Mac - OS X ?
I have a Life Drive with Navigator 5 bought as a package from www.totalpda.co.uk.
The Navigator add-on with GB maps came on an SD card.
I have copied the SD card to my Mac and used 'Drive Mode' to copy that data back to the Palm hard drive, but couldn't get it to run. I then also copied the SD card conents to another new 1GB SD card, and it works as well as the original SD card.
I have now also bought some USA maps and downloaded the zip files to the Mac. The 'Installer' from the web site is a PC executable. On unzipping the maps I see no similarity between the contents and the GB maps already installed.
1) How do I get the US maps onto the Palm, and which files are 'the maps'?
2) Should they go on the SD card or the disc?
3) Does anything have to be done to get the Navigator application to see maps on the disc?
4) Can I run Navigator from the disc?. From the error I got when I tapped the Navigator icon when Navigator was only on the disc, I gather that the icon is an alias/link/shortcut to the program on the SD card. How do I redirect it to the disc copy.
