Question Installed map on wrong tom tom go

Hi all,
I have two tt510's, one for me and one for my partner. I updated mine with the latest maps last night or at least I thought I did. I actually updated my partners which means mine is still on my old map. When I realised I had messed up again I thought the easiest way to fix the problem was to swap the memory cards but when I do it says I have no maps installed. I have tried to use tt home but it says that my tom tom is not the one my account is setup for and whilst i can change it I do not want to lose any of my poi's or maps that I paid for last night. Is there any way of taking the map of one memory card and putting it on the other one without affecting the poi's and without using home. I have an memory card reader and whilst I have cut and pasted the map across this has not worked. Any help would be gratefully appreciated as I have messed up and don't know how to fix it.

Thanks

Map folders are activated which locks them to a specific device they are not transferable. You could try phoning TomTom on Monday morning (0845 161 0009 but I very much doubt they will be able to do anything, all I could suggest would be to update the other device with the map you need which would involve purchasing it for a second time - Mike

Thanks for that, that was what i was afraid of, a very costly mistake. The easiest way would be to swap the tom tom's but as the one with the new map on has not been looked after and scratched all over the place I don't want that. I was hoping there was something that could be done to allow the sd card's to be swapped as this is where the map is.

Nope, maps are now locked to the device you incorrectly updated.

Swapping the SD cards will cause you problems and could lock the maps out so they dont work again without Tomtom's help.
