You are better off with a supplementary radar/laser detector. If youi've got the money and do tons of driving like I do, I would stretch to GPS functionality too although your dashboard starts to look like the bridge on the starship enterprise unless you are careful ;-)

YES. TomTom are releasing new software very soon now, possibly end of August.

It will have customisable POI's, and a well known third party have a database of speed camera's, which will work with TT Go.It's currantly under final testing, but it has been a succsess, and proved to work.

There was a sensative question asked in their forums yesterday, regarding the release, and some members was told to "ZIP it and shut up" the postings were deleted, after some heated responses. PM me if you require info.

I'll post here when it's " Officially Released" to the public.

This can be done by downloading version 4.42 from Tomtom. This version allows you to add your own POI's. If you go to http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/uksafetycameras.php
Download the database from them, then plug your tomtom go into your pc using USB lead provided. It will come up as another disk drive. Then all you have to do is drag the database files which you just downloaded and drop them in your tomtom go folder. The speed camera location are now stored on your tomtom go. Also try having a look at http://www.pocketgps.co.uk/tomtompoi.php as there are many other useful POI's on this site. Just download and drag to tomtom folder as above. Hope this helps. Any questions, email me.
