Default Walk Navigation

Hi All,
I am new to this forum and new to TT navigation I have a TTGo 1000 live when routing satnav for cars no problem but when routing for walking the TTsat nav want to take me the same way as a vehicle can some explain why please I have changed the the sat nav to navigating walking.

The map will only contain roads rather than true off road capability, when walking mode is selected the unit ignores one way streets and other car based restrictions when providing a routing solution so, in theory it should offer a shorter distance to walk than the same route planned in car mode - Mike

I tried an experiment this morning from my home to a cafe in a town in took me to the multistory car park instaed of the shortest road route
