Default TomTom Go - Destinations

Just got myself a Tomtom Go. Quite impressed with it. One feature that seems
to be missing (unless I haven't found it yet) is the ability to locate a
place by just its name rather than having to put in an address first.

I.e. I don't know the address of the National Exhibition Centre, but as
there is only one in the UK its a shame I can't just type in either
'National Exhibition Centre' or 'NEC' for a quick location find.

Is that feature possible, or is there a chance of it being added in the
future?

Ash

Welcome to our forums.
The feature isn't available and to be honest I don't think it's something that will be added.

Charlie, thanks for the reply. The same question in Newsgroups produced the answer. Which was to hunt for it as a Point of Interest, when planning a route. Ie Exhibition Centres, then I think the NEC was second or third on the list. Problem solved. Tried it with a few other examples, British Museum, Heysham Ferry Port and found both quickly and easily.
