Angry TomTom Go suction problem anyone ?

Hi everybody

Just took delivery of myTTGo yesterday, very impressed with it.....but I cannot make the suction pad stick to anything, I mean not even flat clean glass !
I contacted Spotlight Guides who I purchased it from who are going to replace it and told me that I am the first person to have reported this problem !
Call me cynical but I am not convinced by the mounting method, has anyone else had problems with this ?

Nick

Also have you cleaned the windscreen were you intend on mounting it?

Yes, I have done both of those things. It gives me some confidence that no-one else seems to be having this problem.....I take it you guys have not ?

I had a mount fall off once but I think it was more to do with the temperature of the screen during the summer (hah you say what summer) but not like you are having. Hopefully your replacement will prove to be a better fix.

Rub a little washing up liquid on the suction cap - I did mine in September when I brought TTG. I drove to Spain where it was well hot and it has stayed stuck firm.

Hi again

New replacement arrived today, works fine...must have been a slight deformation in the sucker I guess. Thanks for your input guys anyway.
