UK Tomtom Go use in the US

Hi
I have the brilliant tomtom go unit which came supplied with the UK maps.
However I am going to the states soon and I was hoping to take the Go unit with me and use it in a rental car.

Where can I get the US maps?
I am visiting CA for a month so I would be interested in buying the maps and then copying them to a new SD card to use in the Go

Does anyone know if this is possible?

Welcome to our forums.
US maps are only available with TomTomGO units sold in the USA.

Hi Charlie,
This is the reply I got from Tom Tom Support to a similar question;

"You can buy the 50 USA states on a single 1 GB card for the TomTom GO sold here"

I did see US maps on SD cards on ebay.
