Question A question relating to TomTom Go 300 - Am I missing something?

Hiya all!

Well my TT Go 300 arrived today, and it really is a nice piece of kit!

Now, a Question........

Unless i'm missing something from the box, which I don't think I am (They do not come with a mains power supply) how the hell do I install stuff from the CD?

It tells me to connect the USB and I do, it then refuses to do anything unless the power supply is connected

Confused, yes I am, is there a solution? Can you buy the mains adaptors for the TT Go 300 yet coz I couldnt see any

Chris

The TomTom 300 does not come with a mains adapter, you have to connect via the usb lead and install the drivers from the CD.

Yes, I appreciate that, but the USB cable doesnt supply power at the same time, I already hooked it up on the USB, it will not work without a power supply :*(

Is there anywhere I can get one from?

It says 5V 2A on the bottom, will a generic 5v DC Apply be ok?

Just a thought ... does the battery need to be charged first (eg charge it up in your car) and then do the install?

Already fully charged it, if you power it up, and try to use it with the USB Cable connected, it tells you that you need to plug in the power as well

Looks like you need to contact their support then, maybe you have a faulty unit since looking at the manual, it only says to connect the USB lead and doesnt mention power. One more thing before you do that, try a reset via the hole in the bottom. Maybe the s/w has got its knickers in a twist.

Let us know what happens, I'm thinking of buying one of these :-)
